3. The Need to care for others and to feel cared for by others.
4. The Need to know the relative truth and value of one’s own beliefs
5. The Need to feel ones views are respected
6. The Need to be confirmed in ones person
7. The Need for individual and communal balance and harmony
8. The Need to be in control of one’s life
9. The Need for empowerment.
10. The need to go that extra mile ( Not required or essential to living a healthy, balanced life, but rewarding nonetheless).

All humans need some kind of confirmation in their person, who they are. In a healthy life, confirmation comes from our parents or guardians, first then our family and friends.
Do humans walk around every day measuring themselves? Yes. In a healthy social life, people do their best to present well because it is important for them to be their own likable, original and positive standard in society. People also recognize qualities in others and get their efforts reciprocated.
This I like you–you like me thinking can be used to help people with low self-esteems or people who have been conditioned to have a lesser view of themselves.
Our need for confirmation of our persons is an inner need derived by believing in ourselves. This and the collective whole of others who believe in us or not, help us to form our presenting personality.
